Jean Walker as Edith Wharton

Believing all creative fields to be intertwined in inspiration, Jean Walker says her life has been a synaesthesia of the arts. Although primarily an actor, she is a published author, known painter, accomplished pianist, and competitive dancer.

However, the theatre has always been her greatest love because, in her words, “it delves into the soul like no other art in its ceaseless effort to explain the human condition.”

Most recently, she is the author of Between Us: The Secret Life of Edith Wharton, a one-woman full-length play. It is about Edith Wharton’s dauntless struggle to flee her gilded cage of prim and proper behavior for freedom of thought, love, sex, and adventure. Between Us was written to give others courage to change their own lives.
